About My PH Family
My PH Family is an organisation with a mission to provide support and resources to families of children who have been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. We recognise that receiving a PH diagnosis can be a distressing and challenging experience, particularly when families are not familiar with the condition.
We believe that educating children and families about PH in a fun and engaging way can help alleviate some of the anxiety associated with the diagnosis. This is why we have created the Kiki the Koala series which provides easy-to-understand information about PH and offers advice on living with PH.
We also strive to build a supportive community of families and individuals affected by PH. We aim to do this by offering a range of merchandise under our 'My PH Family' brand.
We believe that by raising awareness about PH and building a strong community of supporters, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by this condition.
About Kiki the Koala
Meet Kiki, a koala diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension.
While Kiki's story might seem like fiction, she is actually inspired by Fatima, a young girl diagnosed with PH at the age of 5. Like many other children facing PH, Fatima has shown remarkable strength and courage in the face of life's toughest challenges.
At My PH Family, we believe in the power of sharing these experiences to support children globally. Thus, Kiki came to life. She serves as a symbol of hope and support, aiming to ease the journey for those living with PH and their loved ones.
Kiki's mission extends beyond education about pulmonary hypertension; she also provides a safe space for difficult conversations.
